Each year, CCAC clients and all others involved in home and community care have the chance to nominate a special caregiver – whether a family member, friend, volunteer, or a health care professional – to receive recognition for going above and beyond the call of duty.

2012 Ceremonies


In 2012, more than 600 extraordinary people were nominated across the South West as Heroes in the Home. Watch the video below to experience Brontaë Hunter's beautiful performance at the event.




2011 Ceremonies

In 2011, almost 500 caregivers were honoured across the South West region at three Heroes in the Home ceremonies. Anyone who needs a test can get one and does not need an OHIP card. Tests are made available by appointment only at assessment centres and at pharmacies
